Share market update: Pharma shares mixed; Glenmark Pharma dips over 1%

NEW DELHI: Pharma shares were trading on a mixed note in Friday's morning session. Shares of Biocon (up 0.98 per cent) , Aurobindo Pharma (up 0.55 per cent) , Sun Pharmaceutical Industries (up 0.39 per cent) and Lupin (up 0.19 per cent) were the top gainers in the index.

Glenmark Pharmaceuticals (down 1.59 per cent) , Dr.

Reddy's Laboratories (down 0.98 per cent) , Piramal Enterprises (down 0.55 per cent) , and Divi's Laboratories (down 0.21 per cent) were trading lower.

The Nifty Pharma index was trading 0.07 per cent down at 9039.25 around 10:53 am.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 34.40 points at 11,023.80 while the BSE Sensex was down 75.54 points at 36,649.88. Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 18 were trading in the green, while 32 were in the red.

Shares of Wipro, Tata Motors, Vodafone Idea, NTPC, Bank of Baroda, SBI, NHPC, YES Bank, Ashok Leyland and Hindalco Inds.

were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
