The government has taken steps to ensure the public officials have the required facilities to provide efficient public service to the masses.
Thus it is the responsibility of the field officials to resolve the issues faced by the people especially those who live in rural areas, President Maithripala Sirisena said.President Sirisena made these observations when he declared open the ‘Nila Sewana& office at Nissankamallapura in Polonnaruwa today (22nd) afternoon.
A total of hundred and eighty (180) ‘Nila Sewana& offices and two (02) railway complexes have been constructed in Polonnaruwa District, covering all the seven Divisional Secretariats.
These ‘Nila Sewana& offices have been set up in Thamankaduwa, Dimbulagala, Welikanda, Lankapura, Medirigiriya, Hingurakgoda and Elahera Divisional Secretariat Divisions.
These offices facilitates the public to obtain the services of Grama Niladhari, Development Officer, Samurdhi Development Officer and Agriculture Research - Production Assistant under one roof.
The total cost for the construction of these offices is around Rs.
30 million.
