Share market update: Godfrey Philips, RIL among top gainers on BSE

NEW DELHI: The domestic equity benchmark BSE Sensex was trading 106.19 points down at 37,475.72 on account of selling in frontline bluechip counters. Shares of Shervani Industries (up 19.97 per cent) , Transcorp International (up 19.37 per cent), Manaksia Aluminium Company (up 18.62 per cent), Hathway Cable (up 17.35 per cent), Gyscoal Alloys (up 17.28 per cent), Zenith Fibres (up 17.17 per cent), Godfrey Philips (up 16.20 per cent), Jeevan Scientific Technology (up 15.81 per cent), Patels Airtemp (up 14.30 per cent), Prima Plastics (up 14 per cent) and Reliance Industries (up 8.45 per cent) were among the top performers. The Nifty 50 index was trading 24.80 points down at 11,084.85.

Among the 50 components in the Nifty index, 17 shares were trading in the green, while 31 were in the red.
