Share market update: Consumer Durables shares trade higher; Crompton Greaves up 1%

NEW DELHI: The S-P BSE Consumer Durables index was flat in Thursday's afternoon session with its components trading higher. Shares of PC Jeweller (up 3.09 per cent) , Crompton Greaves Consumer Electricals (up 1.10 per cent) and VIP Industries (up 1.08 per cent) were trading higher. TTK Prestige (up 0.96 per cent) , Symphony (up 0.26 per cent) and Voltas (up 0.17 per cent) too were trading with gains.

The S-P BSE Consumer Durables index was trading 0.11 per cent down at 23,235.96 around 11:52 am.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 8.95 points at 11,026.75 while the BSE Sensex was down 9.34 points at 37,261.48.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 14 were trading in the green, while 36 were in the red.

Shares of Vodafone Idea, Future Retail, YES Bank, Tata Motors, JSPL, SAIL, NCC, Bank of Baroda, Ashok Leyland and NBCC were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
