Rastrakavi Ghimire celebrates his 101th birthday

Ghimire, who has actually added to the Nepali literature through his remarkable works such as & lsquo; Gauri &, & lsquo; Malati Mangale &, & lsquo; Aswathama &, & lsquo; Shakuntala &, to name a few, is commemorated as the National Poet of the nation.

Born upon September 23, 1919 AD in Pustun village of Lamjung district, Ghimire likewise contributed to Nepali journalism by working as the co-editor of Gorkhapatra later on in his life.

He has likewise served as the chancellor of Nepal Academy.

For his excellent literary works, Ghimire was granted the Shree Prasiddha Praval Gorkha Dakshinbahu, the Bhanubhakta Reward and Tribhuwan Pragya Puraskar.
