Italy to assist in power generation project using solid waste

The government of Italy will provide technical assistance as well as investment opportunities to generate electricity using solid waste which has become a major problem for Sri Lanka, the Italian Ambassador to Sri Lanka, Rita G.

Mannella said yesterday.The Ambassador was speaking at an official discussion held with the Minister of Power and Energy and Business Development Ravi Karunanayake at the Ministry recently.
