Buzzing stocks: YES Bank, Infosys, Axis Bank, Asian Paints

NEW DELHI: Reliance Power with over 0.61 crore shares changing hands was leading among the most traded stocks on NSE on Wednesday. Shares of YES Bank (number of shares traded: 0.54 crore) , Infosys (number of shares traded: 0.24 crore) , Vodafone Idea (number of shares traded: 0.16 crore) , Karuturi Global (number of shares traded: 0.11 crore) , Reliance Naval (number of shares traded: 0.11 crore) , Axis Bank (number of shares traded: 0.09 crore) , ICICI Bank (number of shares traded: 0.08 crore) , Tata Motors (number of shares traded: 0.08 crore) and Dish TV India (number of shares traded: 0.08 crore) also featured among the most traded stocks on the NSE. Infosys (Rs 148.83 crore) was leading the pack of most active stocks in value terms. It was followed by Axis Bank (Rs 63.87 crore) , Asian Paints (Rs 42.66 crore) , Bajaj Finance (Rs 42.30 crore) , ICICI Bank (Rs 34.86 crore) , Stampede (Rs 30.68 crore) , YES Bank (Rs 27.76 crore) , HDFC Bank (Rs 25.70 crore) , Jubilant Food (Rs 25.53 crore) and RIL (Rs 24 crore).

The NSE Nifty index was trading 2.60 points down at 11,585.75 while the BSE Sensex was up 3.57 points at 38,967.41 around 09:17 am.

In the Nifty index, Bajaj Finserv (up 1.98 per cent) , Axis Bank (up 1.83 per cent) , HCL Technologies (up 1.76 per cent) , UltraTech Cement (up 0.76 per cent) and Tata Consultancy Services (up 0.76 per cent) were among the top gainers.

While Infosys (down 4.36 per cent) , Bharti Airtel (down 2.43 per cent) , Adani Ports - Special Economic Zone (down 2.34 per cent) , Bharti Infratel (down 1.97 per cent) and Indiabulls Housing Finance (down 1.47 per cent) were the top losers in the index.
