KATHMANDU: Guthi, a non-government organisation, with support of KMC, Water Aid Nepal and other organisations held ‘Walkathon: A Walk for Toilet& to mark the World Toilet Day today. The walkathon started from a public toilet opposite of Rastriya Sabha Griha and went around Bhadrakali, Sundhara and New Road ending in Basantapur. More than 300 people participated in the event. The aim of the walkathon was to raise public awareness to address the poor state of public toilets in Nepal and build solidarity to ensure that public toilets are safe, clean and accessible for all.
