Kathmandu, December 5 Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli was discharged from Manmohan Cardiothoracic Vascular and Transplant Centre after 10 days of treatment at around 3:00pm today. Oli was admitted to the hospital on November 26 and underwent appendicitis surgery the same day. Talking briefly to mediapersons upon his discharge, Oli said he was returning home as his health had improved.

&Everything is fine as you can see,& he said. Although his health was critical in the initial days after surgery, doctors involved in his treatment said the PM health had shown considerable improvement. Dr Ramesh Singh Bhandari, who led the surgery conducted on Oli, said the PM surgery wound had almost been healed and he had been advised rest for the next few days. &The PM has been prescribed soft diet and rest and should refrain from exerting himself,& said Bhandari. Hospital Chief Dr Uttam Krishna Shrestha said since this was transitional phase after surgery, the PM had been advised not to engage in activities that would require physical effort. Since the prime minister is also a kidney patient, he will be requiring dialysis on a regular basis.

The PM Press Adviser Surya Thapa said Oli would undergo dialysis as and when required as per the doctors& suggestions.

&For now, he is recovering fast from surgery,& said Thapa.

&Treatment related to kidney will be carried forward after he completely recovers from surgery.& Thapa added that since Oli had been advised rest for the next few days, he would conduct his day-to-day work from his official residence in Baluwatar until he recovered completely. The PM had undergone appendicitis surgery on Tuesday in the hospital after his appendix burst. The post PM Oli discharged from hospital appeared first on The Himalayan Times.
