China moves to ban foreign software and hardware from state offices
China has ordered the replacement of all foreign PC hardware and operating systems in state offices over the next three years, according to a report in the Financial Times.
The government has previously ordered purges of western software, but they were more limited or related to certain security issues.
This time, the goal includes hardware as well, with tens of millions of devices targeted for replacement.
