NEW DELHI: The BSE Utilities index was trading with gains in the Tuesday's morning session.
Shares of Reliance Infrastructure (up 4.95 per cent), Orient Green Power Company (up 4.76 per cent), RTN Infra (up 4.55 per cent), Alstom T-D India (up 3.26 per cent), VA Tech Wabag (up 1.93 per cent), NLC India (up 1.53 per cent), Jaiprakash Power Ventures (up 1.52 per cent), Reliance Power (up 1.51 per cent) and A2Z Infra (up 0.5 per cent) were among the top gainers.
While GAIL (India) (down 0.58 per cent), GMR Infrastructure (down 0.47 per cent), Gujarat State Petronet (down 0.37 per cent), Mahanagar Gas (down 0.24 per cent), Adani Power (down 0.16 per cent) and Indraprastha Gas (down 0.02 per cent) were the top losers in the index.
The S-P BSE Utilities index was trading 0.32 per cent up at 1776.38 around 10:39 am.
Benchmark NSE Nifty 50 index was down 6.40 points at 12256.35, while the BSE Sensex was 29.11 points at 41613.55.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 28 were trading in the green, while 22 were in the red.
Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, Indiabulls Housing Finance, IDFC First Bank Ltd., Zee Entertainment, JSPL, BHEL, Tata Motors, SBI and NCC were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
