Share market update: Fertilizer stocks mixed; Shiva Global Agro climbs 10%

NEW DELHI: Fertilizer stocks were trading on a mixed note in Friday's afternoon session. Shares of Shiva Global Agro Industries (up 9.66 per cent), Zuari Agro (up 7.94 per cent), Rama Phosphates (up 6.60 per cent), Coromandel International (up 4.37 per cent), Khaitan Chemicals - Fertilizers (up 2.07 per cent), Chambal Fertilisers - Chemicals (up 1.29 per cent), National Fertilizer (up 1.27 per cent) and Deepak Fertilizers - Petrochemicals (up 1.12 per cent) were among the top gainers.

Fertilizers - Chemicals Tranvancore (down 5.58 per cent), Nagarjuna Fertilizers - Chem (down 4.80 per cent), Bharat Agri Fert - Realty (down 4.23 per cent), G S F C (down 4.19 per cent), Mangalore Chemicals - Fertilizers (down 2.95 per cent), Rashtriya Chemicals - Fertilizers (down 2.77 per cent), Aries Agro (down 2.40 per cent), Southern Petrochemicals Industries (down 1.79 per cent), Basant Agro Tech (India) (down 1.52 per cent) and Gujarat Narmada Valley Fertilizers (down 1.20 per cent) were among the top losers.

The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 130.70 points up at 9720.85 , while the 30share BSE Sensex was up 475.87 points at 33254.01 at around 12:23 pm.

State Bank of India (up 10.46 per cent), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries (up 7.93 per cent), HDFC (up 7.15 per cent), Tata Steel (up 4.67 per cent), Bharti Airtel (up 4.13 per cent), Maruti Suzuki (up 3.5 per cent), ICICI Bank (up 3.28 per cent), IndusInd Bank (up 2.78 per cent), Bajaj Finance (up 2.59 per cent), NTPC (up 1.96 per cent), UltraTech Cement (up 1.45 per cent), Axis Bank (up 1.42 per cent), Infosys (up 1.1 per cent), HCL Technologies (up 0.93 per cent), ITC (up 0.64 per cent), HDFC Bank (up 0.51 per cent), Larsen - Toubro (up 0.32 per cent) and Power Grid Corporation of India (up 0.24 per cent) were among the top gainers in the Sensex pack.

On the other hand, Nestle India (down 5.16 per cent), Oil - Natural Gas Corporation (down 3.99 per cent), Asian Paints (down 2.98 per cent), Titan Company Ltd (down 2.27 per cent), Mahindra - Mahindra (down 2.14 per cent), Bajaj Auto (down 2.02 per cent), Tech Mahindra (down 2.01 per cent), Hero MotoCorp (down 1.71 per cent), Reliance Industries (down 1.26 per cent), Tata Consultancy (down 0.41 per cent), Hindustan Unilever (down 0.18 per cent) and Kotak Mahindra Bank (down 0.01 per cent) were trading in the red.
