14 killed, five injured in Sankhuwasabha bus accident

KATHMANDU, MARCH 10At least 14 persons died after the bus they were travelling on fell off the road in Madi Municipality-6 of Sankhuwsabha district on Thursday morning. One killed, 13 injured in Sarlahi road accident Seven killed, eight injured in Palpa bus accident The identities of the deceased have yet to be ascertained, informed the police. According to security personnel, the incident occurred at 7:30 am this morning when the bus (Ba 4 Kha 7350) en route to Damak from Madi of Sankhuwasabha lost control and skidded off the road, about 300 meters below, in Saatghumti.So far, five people have been safely rescued from the wreckage of the bus, according to authorities.It has been learnt that the bus was ferrying at least 20 passengers at the time of the incident.Details on the accident is still being collected, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Laldhoj Subedi was quoted as saying in Rastriya Samachar Samiti.Security personnel along with locals are conducting further rescue operation around the site of accident. .
