Nepal records 22 COVID-19 cases on Friday

KATHMANDU, APRIL 01The national active Covid-19 caseload of Nepal active caseload has reached at 1,022 on Friday as 16 people tested positive for the infection in past 24 hours. Nepal records 350 COVID-19 cases, four fatalities on Saturday Active caseload drops to 63296 with 2742 new Covid infections, 2742 discharges on Thursday The latest reported number of infections carried the nationwide tally to 978,442 while the death toll remains at 11,951 as no fatalities were recorded today. Meanwhile, the total coronavirus recoveries stand at 965,469 with 75 discharges logged today.As per the latest data provided by the health ministry, a total of 3,835 tests were conducted in the last 24 hours of which 2,516 were PCR tests while 1,319 were antigen tests.

With this, a total of 5,548,906 PCR tests have been carried out till date.Similarly, antigen tests confirmed six positive cases in the past 24 hours.

The total number of single-day infections from both the RT-PCR and antigen tests totals to 22.Nepal's Covid-19 recovery rate stands at 98.7%, while the fatality rate stands at 1.2%.Currently, there are 106 individuals in various quarantine facilities across Nepal. .
