Issuing a message of best wishes on the 2566th Buddha Jayanti today, PM Deuba wished for world peace, co-existence, tolerance, brotherhood and fraternity in the world.
PM Deuba expressed his best wishes to all and wished that Buddha Purnima would inspire all to promote unity and mutual respect in the entire human community.PM Deuba said, "I wish happiness, peace and progress to all the Nepalis and Buddhist communities at home and abroad on the occasion of birthday of Lord Buddha, the apostle of peace, non-violence and compassion.""The full moon day of Nepali month of Baisakh coincides with the day when Lord Buddha was born, attained enlightenment and mahaparinirvan (passing away) took place," PM Deuba said in the message, adding that "This day has been inspiring all to move towards peace, non-violence, compassion, goodwill and self-realisation since the ancient time.""Gautam Buddha is a luminary.
