Kathmandu, December 29Independent member of the House of Representatives Prabhu Sah today launched a new party -- the Aam Janata Party.
Former Minister Badri Neupane, who had merged his Chure Bhawar Party with the CPN- UML, has joined the Sah-led party.

Sah, who left the CPN-UML on the eve of the parliamentary elections, contested election from his home constituency of Rautahat Constituency No 3 as an independent and won.
Sah started his political career as a Maoist, but later switched his allegiance to the UML.
His association with the UML did not last long as he left the UML to contest parliamentary election as an independent.
UML leaders had accused Sah of holding on to the party ticket till the last moment on the nomination filing day and filing his nomination as an independent candidate just to prevent the UML from fielding its candidate.Sah has strong political clout in his home district of Rautahat.
He wanted to be the Madhes in-charge of the CPN-Maoist Centre before joining the UML.
He had quit the party after he did not get the role he desired.
Sah has formed a talks team to rope in other like-minded parties for unification.AJP Central Committee member Chandra Bhushan Sah said his party has formed a three-member talks team to hold talks with all progressive forces, including the CPN-MC.
