NEW DELHI: Another day and another record closing high for BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty on Monday.
Firm global cues coupled with buying in bank stocks kept bulls roaring on Dalal Street for a second straight session.
The BSE Sensex closed 135.73 points, or 0.36 per cent, up at 37,691.89, while the NSE Nifty index added 26.30 points, or 0.23 per cent at 11,387.10.

Spectacular debutHDFC Asset Management Company made a robust listing on bourses on Monday.
The scrip closed 65 per cent up at Rs 1,816 against the issue price of Rs 1,100.
Shares of the company listed at Rs 1,739 on the BSE and at Rs 1,726.25 on the NSE.
Who moved my SensexICICI Bank, Reliance Industries, State Bank of India and Axis Bank contributed the most to the index gains.
Other contributors included Mahindra Mahindra, Maruti Suzuki, Bharti Airtel and YES Bank.
Spurt in open interestArvind witnessed the biggest jump in open interest contracts at 71.64 per cent, followed by Adani Ports (27.27 per cent), Syndicate Bank (22.83 per cent) and Britannia (21.17 per cent).
Most active stocksHDFC AMC, Axis Bank, State Bank of India, ICICI Bank, Reliance Industries and YES Bank were the most active stocks in terms of value.
Reliance Communications, Adani Power, Suzlon, Punjab National Bank, JP Power, State Bank of India and SAIL were among the most active scrips in terms of volume.
Call/Put writingOn the options front, maximum Put open interest (OI) was seen at 11,000 followed by 11,200 strike while maximum Call OI is at 11,500 followed by 11,400 strike.
Put writing stood at 11,300 followed by 11,400 strike while call writing was seen at 11,500 followed by 11,600 strike.
Banking stocks rallied Axis Bank, ICICI Bank and State Bank of India rallied more than 3 per cent each on Monday, whereas YES Bank gained 1.32 per cent.
The BSE Bankex closed 1.11 per cent up at 31,423.47.
30 stocks set to gain, shows MACDTechnical indicator Moving average convergence divergence (MACD) showed 30 stocks are likely to gain in the coming sessions.
The list includes names such as Exide Industries, InterGlobe Aviation, Jubilant Foodworks, Mahindra Mahindra, Gruh Finance and JMC Projects.
Stocks at 52-week highOver 45 stocks on the NSE scaled fresh 52-week high on Monday.
The list includes stocks such as Abbott India, Aditya Birla Fashion, Borosil Glass, Electrosteel Steels, Endurance Technologies, GAIL (India) and HB Stockholdings.
Stocks at 52-week lowLanco Infratech, Gayatri Highways, Gammon India, BS Limited, ABG Shipyard, Raj Rayon, Sita Shree Foods and Sterling Biotech stood among the stocks that scaled their fresh 52-week low in today’s trade.
Bharti Airtel climbedShares of the telecom major gained more than 3 per cent after it informed bourses that it has entered into strategic partnership with Telecom Egypt, Egypt’s first integrated telecom operator, wherein, Airtel will get IRUs (Indefeasible Right of Use) on Middle East North Africa Submarine Cable (MENA Cable) and TE North Cable Systems.
