The much talked about and highly promoted Imtiaz Ali directorial Love Aaj Kal starring Kartik Aaryan and Sara Ali Khan released last week on Friday.

Thanks to its first day being Valentine’s Day, and immense promotions the business of Love Aaj Kal saw higher collections than expected.In this box office report we take a look at the opening weekend collections of the film while comparing the same to Kartik Aaryan’s previous releases.

After opening on a high note the business of Love Aaj Kal saw a decline on its second day while Day 3 saw a slight improvement.

None the less, collecting Rs.

28.51 cr over its opening weekend Love Aaj Kal has managed to surpass the first weekend collections of Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety that had collected Rs.

26.57 cr to become Kartik Aaryan’s third highest opening weekend grosser.

35.94 cr and Luka Chuppi that had collected Rs.

32.13 cr lead the list, the business of Love Aaj Kal has surpass the collections of his other releases like, Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2 that had collected Rs.

22.75 cr, Guest Iin London that had collected Rs.

7.95 cr, and Pyaar Ka Punchnama that had collected Rs.

3.25 cr.Currently all eyes are on the fate of Love Aaj Kal as the week starts.

Will the film that saw a decline in collections on day 2 pass the Monday test.
