NEW DELHI: IT shares were trading higher in Friday's morning session.
Shares of Infibeam Avenues (up 5.11 per cent), Wipro (up 0.85 per
cent), HCL Technologies (up 0.59 per cent) and Tata Elxsi (up 0.46 per cent) were the top gainers in the index
Tata Consultancy Services (up 0.46 per cent), Infosys (up 0.32 per cent) and Tech Mahindra (up 0.06 per cent) too were trading higher
The Nifty IT index was trading 0.37 per cent up at 15,933.85 around 09:59 am
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 22.15 points at 11,618.85 while the BSE Sensex was up 86.34 points at 38,693.35
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 31 were trading in the green, while 18 were in the red
Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, Tata Motors, Ashok Leyland, BHEL, DLF, SAIL, Indian Oil Corp, Infosys and SBI were among the most traded
