crore), Reliance Power (number of shares traded: 0.11 crore), YES Bank (number of shares traded: 0.11 crore), Tata Steel (number of shares
traded: 0.08 crore), Unitech (number of shares traded: 0.07 crore), PC Jeweller (number of shares traded: 0.06 crore) and Suzlon Energy
(number of shares traded: 0.05 crore) also featured among the most traded stocks on the NSE.
Axis Bank (Rs 108.03 crore) was leading the
pack of most active stocks in value terms.
It was followed by Tata Steel (Rs 36.33 crore), Maruti Suzuki (Rs 27.07 crore), YES Bank (Rs
23.55 crore), RIL (Rs 20.96 crore), HDFC Bank (Rs 19.96 crore), Biocon (Rs 19.32 crore), Infosys (Rs 17.70 crore), TCS (Rs 14.14 crore) and
ICICI Bank (Rs 13.39 crore).
The NSE Nifty index was trading 41.15 points up at 11,682.95 while the BSE Sensex was up 113.26 points at
38,844.12 around 09:16 am
In the Nifty index, Axis Bank (up 2.42 per cent), Tata Steel (up 1.83 per cent), Bharti Infratel (up 1.77 per cent), Indiabulls Housing
Finance (up 1.60 per cent) and HCL Technologies (up 1.36 per cent) were among the top gainers
While Maruti Suzuki India (down 1.31 per cent), Bajaj Auto (down 0.26 per cent), Hero MotoCorp (down 0.20 per cent), Tata Motors (down 0.18
per cent) and Adani Ports Special Economic Zone (down 0.09 per cent) were the top losers in the index.
