Share market update: Auto shares in the red; Tata Motors dips 3%

NEW DELHI: Auto shares were trading in the red in Friday's morning session. Shares of Tata Motors (down 3.27 per cent), Maruti Suzuki India
(down 1.97 per cent) , Motherson Sumi Systems (down 1.92 per cent) and Apollo Tyres (down 1.36 per cent) were the top losers in the
index. Hero MotoCorp (down 1.23 per cent) , TVS Motor Company (down 1.20 per cent) , Bharat Forge (down 0.83 per cent) and Ashok Leyland
(down 0.83 per cent) too were trading with losses
The Nifty Auto index was trading 1.17 per cent down at 8487.20 around 09:48 am
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 33.85 points at 11,675.65 while the BSE Sensex was up 76.64 points at 38,807.5
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 32 were trading in the green, while 17 were in the red
Shares of YES Bank, Tata Steel, Vodafone Idea, Axis Bank, Tata Motors, SAIL, DLF, Ashok Leyland, Indian Oil Corp, Bharti Infratel, Bank of
Baroda, Vedanta , JSW Steel, ONGC and ICICI Bank were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
