A cleaning staffer of Samata Hospital in Bouddha was found hanging in the hospital building today
The deceased has been identified as Bimala Tamang, 27, of Ramechhap district.
Her body was found hanging from ceiling, near a toilet
A sheet of paper with names of three employees at the hospital has been recovered from the incident site, according to police.
Many locals
had gathered in the area after the incident
Enraged family members of the deceased and locals picketed the hospital, demanding a probe into the incident
The angry mob vandalised the hospital property.
Glasses and flower pots were broken
A car was also vandalised by the protesting locals
Overturned tables and chairs, stones and flower pots were lying scattered on the hospital premises.
The mob repeatedly hurled stones at the
hospital, blocking the adjacent road as security forces tried to contain the situation
An additional team of police from Metropolitan Police Range, Kathmandu, was deployed to bring the situation under control
Police used force to disperse the irritated mob after tension ran high in and around the hospital
Police were trying to disperse the mob till the evening.
&The deceased was a cleaning staffer at the hospital
She had joined two months ago,& said Ajay Adhikari, one of the founding members of the hospital.
