Chair of Federal Council of Samajwadi Party Nepal Baburam Bhattarai warned Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli against the
government arrogance of two-thirds majority in the Parliament.
Speaking in the House of Representatives on the Appropriation Bill today,
former prime minister Bhattarai said that Prime Minister Oli should take the issue of Kathmandu residents& protest against the Guthi Bill
seriously.
Citing the downfall of the leftist force that had ruled in West Bengal of India for 34 years and also the downfall of communist
regime in USSR, Bhattarai warned the PM not to show arrogance of the thumping majority of the Nepal Communist Party (NCP) in the Parliament
He warned that the government parliamentary strength might not last longer.
Bhattarai said Nepal Media Council Bill, Security Council Bill,
National Human Rights Bill, Guthi Bill, and job adverts announced by the Public Service Commission were in contravention of the constitution
&Those bills and job adverts, therefore, should be withdrawn,& he added.
&The constitution should be amended to correct the boundaries of
the provinces as per agreement with the Samajwadi Party Nepal, but there was no indication of such thing in the government policies and
programmes,& Bhattarai said.
Meanwhile, Bhattarai also accused the government of moving ahead with a unitary mindset.
