NEW DELHI: Gains in Britannia Industries (up 2.38 per cent), ITC (up 1.36 per cent) and Dabur India (up 0.97 per cent) were keeping the
Nifty FMCG index up during Monday's trade.
The Nifty FMCG index was trading 0.90 per cent up at 27,226 around 01:45 pm (IST)
Shares of Marico (up 0.89 per cent), Godrej Consumer Products (up 0.87 per cent), Procter Gamble Hygiene Healthcare (up 0.75 per cent),
United Spirits (up 0.47 per cent), Hindustan Unilever (up 0.26 per cent) and Emami (up 0.10 per cent) were also in the green.
However, Tata
Global Beverages (down 0.33 per cent), Jubilant Foodworks (down 0.33 per cent), GlaxoSmithKline Consumer Healthcare (down 0.20 per cent),
Colgate-Palmolive (India) (down 0.19 per cent), Godrej Industries (down 0.17 per cent) and United Breweries (down 0.06 per cent) were down
around the same time.
The benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 35 points at 10,515, while the BSE Sensex was up 90 points at 34,282.
Among the
50 stocks in the Nifty index, 32 were trading in the green, while 18 were in the red
Shares of Cipla, with gains of over 4 per cent, were leading the Nifty pack.
On the other hand, Tata Motors was the top loser in the Nifty
index, cracking almost 5 per cent.
