Secys asked to come up with proposal to review 1950 treaty

Kathmandu, August 22 Foreign Minister Pradeep Kumar Gyawali to yesterday informed the House of Representatives that the fifth meeting of
Nepal-India Joint Commission, led by foreign ministers of the respective countries on Wednesday asked secretaries in the foreign ministry of
Nepal and India to come up with a concrete proposal to review Treaty of Peace and Friendship-1950. Gyawali asked Eminent Persons Group
Secretariat to do required home-work to present its report
&We have also discussed on the report of the Eminent Persons Group, and about its submission
I am confident that the report would be implemented,& he said. &During the meeting, we talked mainly on political security and border,
connectivity and financial help, trade and transit, hydro-power and water resource, and culture and education.& Foreign Minister Gyawali
said that during 15-month period of the government, heads of the governments of the two countries held talks for four times and he was
