Police have nabbedthree persons on the charge of defrauding and threatening government officials.
The arrested used
to demand hefty amounts from the officials by falsely claiming to be cadres of the Netra Bikram Chand-led Communist Party of Nepal
Chand-led CPN is banned in the country.
The arrested have been identified as Bishwo Raj Sharma, 42, resident of Baneshwor who hails from
Gauradaha Municipality of Jhapa district, Subash Koirala, 41, a permanent resident of Gatthaghar, Madhyapur Thimi Municipality, and Subham
Ghimere,24, of Kadaghari who hails from Bhadrapur Municipality of Jhapa.
A special group of Metropolitan Police Crime Division, Kathmandu
nabbed all three yesterday from various places of Kathmandu
Police are further investigating how many government officials they had threatened and looted from, said police.
