NEW DELHI: Infrastructure shares were trading with gains in Wednesday's afternoon session after Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on
Tuesday said the government has set up a task force to boost investments in infrastructure projects and is in the process of identifying the
sectors which needed funding from the centre.
"We will try to frontload infra spending as much as possible," she said, adding: "We are
taking steps to increase consumer confidence in market."

Secretary, to draw up a 'National Infrastructure Pipeline' of Rs 100 lakh crore
In the July Budget, the government had announced Rs 100 lakh crore investment in infra sector for the next 5 years.
Shares of Vodafone Idea
(up 6.60 per cent), GMR Infrastructure (up 5.38 per cent), Suzlon Energy (up 5.36 per cent), CG Power and Industrial Solutions (up 4.89 per
cent) and Reliance Infrastructure (up 4.52 per cent) were among the top gainers.
Adani Power (up 4.16 per cent) and IRB Infrastructure
Developers (up 3.84 per cent) too were in the green.
While InterGlobe Aviation (down 0.99 per cent), Bharti Airtel (down 0.91 per cent) and
Tata Power Company (down 0.66 per cent) were among the top losers.
The Nifty Infrastructure index was trading 0.28 per cent up at 3,076.7
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 27.70 points at 11,030.75, while BSE Sensex was up 111.28 points at 37,256.73
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 30 were trading in the green, while 20 were in the red
Shares of YES Bank, Vodafone Idea, Tata Motors, Ashok Leyland, JSPL, ICICI Lombard General Insurance Company, SAIL, Dish TV India, PNB and
Bank of Baroda were among the most traded securities on the NSE.
