NEW DELHI: Most of the sugar stocks were trading in the green in Thursday's morning session
of Uttam Sugar Mills (down 5.85 per cent),
Dharani Sugars - Chemicals (down 5.00 per cent), Piccadily Agro Industries (down 3.99 per cent), Rajshree Sugars - Chemicals (down 3.87 per
cent), Dalmia Bharat Sugar - Industries (down 3.24 per cent) and Dwarikesh Sugar Industries (down 3.17 per cent) slid as much as 6 per
cent.
Sakthi Sugars (down 3.03 per cent), Rana Sugars (down 2.68 per cent) and Dhampur Sugar Mills (down 2.05 per cent) too were among the
Sir Shadi Lal Enterprises (up 5.00 per cent), Avadh Sugar (up 4.60 per cent), Piccadily Sugar (up 4.56 per cent), DCM Shriram Industries
(up 2.52 per cent) were among the top gainers
The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 30.15 points up at 11,065.85, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was up 119.87 points at 37,390.69 around
Indiabulls Housing Finance (up 3.50 per cent), ICICI Bank (up 2.94 per cent), IndusInd Bank (up 2.46 per cent), UltraTech Cement (up 2.27
per cent) and Grasim Industries (up 2.04 per cent) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack
On the other hand, YES Bank (down 3.42 per cent), Tata Motors (down 2.38 per cent), Eicher Motors (down 1.90 per cent), Bharti Airtel (down
1.61 per cent) and Maruti Suzuki India (down 1.55 per cent) were trading in the red.
