Stock market update: Over 30 stocks hit 52-week lows on NSE despite positive market mood

NEW DELHI: Defying positive market sentiment, over 30 stocks including Arrow Greentech, Hindustan Aeronautics, Khaitan Electricals and
Kwality hit 52-week lows on NSE during Wednesday's trade. Manpasand Beverages, Mohit Industries, Pratibha Industries, Ramsarup Industries,
Sundaram Finance Holdings, Uniphos Enterprises, Videocon Industries and Zylog Systems also featured among stocks that touched 52-week lows
on NSE. On the other hand, over 10 stocks including Avenue Supermarts, GlaxoSmithKline Pharmaceuticals, Infosys and Intellect Design Arena
hit 52-week highs on NSE today. Equity benchmarks were up on gains in select IT, bank, pharma and FMCG stocks. The NSE Nifty index was
trading 30 points up at 10,873, while the BSE Sensex was up 113 points at 35,806 around 12:05 pm. 33 stocks were advancing in trade in the
Nifty index, compared with 17 stocks that were declining around that time. Dr
Reddy's Laboratories, Cipla, Lupin, Axis Bank and Tata Consultancy Services were leading among Nifty gainers. On the contrary, Zee
Entertainment Enterprises, Tata Steel, Indiabulls Housing Finance, Vedanta and GAIL (India) were among the top losers in the Nifty index.
