The Election Commission has provided election symbols to new political parties for by-election scheduled for
November 30.
The Commission meeting today decided to register political parties willing to contest by-election for the House of
Representatives, Provincial assemblies and local levels, and to provide election symbols.
Ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP) was provided
‘Sun& as its election symbol, while ‘Palm with five fingers& was provided to Socialist Party and ‘Plough& to the Rastriya Prajatantra
Party (United).
Among others, Green Party Nepal got ‘trident& as its election symbol, Nepal Democratic Party got ‘joined hands for
greeting&, Rastriya Prajatantra Party (Democratic) got ‘bull&, Sajha Party got ‘beam balance,& Nepal Communist Party (United) got
‘sickle,& and Nepali Congress (BP) got ‘urn& as its symbol.
