Share market update: PSU bank shares tumble; Central Bank slumps 5%

NEW DELHI: Shares of PSU banks were trading in the negative zone in Monday's morning session. Shares of Central Bank of India (down 5.47 per
cent), Syndicate Bank (down 4.71 per cent), Indian Bank (down 3.86 per cent) and Jammu - Kashmir Bank (down 3.70 per cent) were the worst
performers in the index
Union Bank of India (down 3.49 per cent), Bank of India (down 3.02 per cent), Bank of Baroda (down 2.84 per cent) and Canara Bank (down
2.51 per cent) too were trading in the red. The Nifty PSU Bank index was trading 2.63 per cent down at 2313.90 around 10:47 am
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 82.45 points at 11,429.95 while the BSE Sensex was down 275.84 points at 38,546.73
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 13 were trading in the green, while 37 were in the red
Shares of YES Bank, Vodafone Idea, Indiabulls Housing Finance, Ashok Leyland, SBI, Tata Motors, Dish TV India, Bank of Baroda, SAIL and
ZEEL were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
