INSUBCONTINENT EXCLUSIVE:
KATHMANDU: President Bidya Devi Bhandari is set to leave for Myanmar tomorrow for a five-day state visit.
According to a press statement
released by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, President Bhandari, who has accepted the invitation from President of Myanmar, Win Myint, will
hold bilateral talks with her counterpart during her visit.
Similarly, State Counsellor of Myanmar Aung San Suu Kyi will also call on
President Bhandari.
It has also been stated that President Bhandari is scheduled to meet the citizens of Myanmar who are of Nepali origin in
Pyin Oo Lwin and will visit Bagan, a UNESCO world heritage site
The President is also going to visit Yangon.
Minister for Foreign Affairs Pradeep Kumar Gyawali, Foreign Secretary Shanker Das Bairagi,
Secretary at the Office of the President, other high ranking officials, and mediapersons will accompany the President during the
visit.
President Bhandari and the delegation is reported to return back home on October 20.
