UNHRC Resolutions protects the rights of our soldiers as well – Minister

Finance Minister Mangala Samaraweera yesterday reacted to the remarks by Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) Presidential Candidate
Gotabhaya Rajapaksa over the question of missing persons and strongly defended the UN Human Rights Council Resolution 30/1 adopted in 2015,
Issuing a media communiqué, Samaraweera pointed out that though Gotabhaya Rajapaksa dismissed Sri Lanka commitments to Resolution 30/1,
&the Resolution contains a series of measures covering reconciliation, rule of law, security and confidence-building that is necessary for
the long-term development of our nation&.
