The Election Commission has published the schedule of by-elections to be held on November 30 to fill the 52 posts of
people representatives at local, provincial and central level.
According to the Election Commission, the by-elections will be conducted for
one member of the House of Representatives, three provincial assembly members and 48 chiefs, deputy chiefs and ward chairs of local
levels.
As per the by-elections schedule, the aspiring candidates will have to file their nominations on November 7 for the elections of a
HoR member in Kaski Constituency-2 and provincial assembly members in Bhaktapur Constituency-1, Baglung Constituency-2 and Dang
Constituency-3.
The EC will publish the list of nominations on the same day.

The EC said it would publish the final list of candidates on November 16, after fulfilling necessary criteria and procedures.
As many as 52
posts of office bearers had fallen vacant due to death, promotion, resignation and imprisonment of the elected representatives.

According to the EC, it will print voter identity cards for new voters, but those voters, who had voted in the last elections, will be
required to use their old voter identity cards.
Information Officer of the Election Commission Surya Prasad Aryal said that the process of
setting up of election offices would start within the next two weeks in the 37 districts where by-elections will be held.
