Share market update: Bank shares slip; IDFC First Bank down 1%

Axis Bank (down 0.91 per cent) , Punjab National Bank (down 0.85 per cent) and HDFC Bank (down 0.73 per cent) were the worst performers in
the index
State Bank of India (down 0.69 per cent) , Bank of Baroda (down 0.54 per cent) , IndusInd Bank (down 0.35 per cent) and Kotak Mahindra Bank
(down 0.34 per cent) too were trading lower
The Nifty Bank index was trading 0.57 per cent down at 30,047.10 around 09:51 am
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 51.25 points at 11,865.95 while the BSE Sensex was down 162.85 points at 40,085.38
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 17 were trading in the green, while 31 were in the red
Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, JSPL, ZEEL, PNB, Titan Company, SAIL, Sun Pharma and Tata Motors were among the most traded shares on
the NSE.
