Share market update: BSE Oil Gas index down; HPCL, GAIL among top losers

NEW DELHI: OMCs were trading in the red in Friday's session with their sectoral index on BSE trading lower. Shares of Hindustan Petroleum
Corporation (down 2.34 per cent) , Castrol India (down 2.26 per cent) , GAIL (India) (down 2.12 per cent) and Bharat Petroleum Corporation
(down 1.52 per cent) were the worst performers in the index. Indian Oil Corporation (down 1.25 per cent) , Reliance Industries (down 1.03
per cent) , Gujarat State Petronet (down 0.74 per cent) and Oil And Natural Gas Corporation (down 0.63 per cent) too were trading lower
The S-P BSE Oil - Gas index was trading 0.81 per cent down at 15,309.25 around 10:58 am
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 50.45 points at 11,961.60 while the BSE Sensex was down 161.96 points at 40,491.78
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 17 were trading in the green, while 33 were in the red
Shares of YES Bank, Vodafone Idea, JSPL, Bank of Baroda, DLF, NCC, BHEL, ICICI Bank and Ashok Leyland were among the most traded shares on
the NSE.
