President Hamid leaves for Bangladesh

KATHMANDU: President of the People Republic of Bangladesh, Mohammad Abdul Hamid, has left for his country today. President Bidya Devi
Bhandari saw her Bangladeshi counterpart off at Tribhuvan International Airport
Also present to bid him farewell were Home Minister Ram Bahadur Thapa, Foreign Minister Pradeep Kumar Gyawali, and Tourism Minister Yogesh
Kumar Bhattarai, among others. Flags of both the countries were waved and cultural music and dances performed to bid President Hamid and his
delegation farewell. President Hamid had arrived in the capital city for his four-day official goodwill visit with his wife Rashida Hamid on
November 12. The Bangladeshi President was scheduled to visit Chandragiri Hills today; however, he was unable to go there due to health
problems while members of his entourage visited Chandragiri for a sight-seeing excursion. During his visit, President Hamid met with
President Bidya Devi Bhandari, Vice-President Nanda Bahadur Pun, Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, Nepal Communist Party (NCP) Co-chair Pushpa
Kamal Dahal, Chairperson of the National Assembly Ganesh Prasad Timilsina, and Minister for Foreign Affairs Pradeep Kumar Gyawali, along
with other senior leaders. The foreign President visited Bhaktapur and Pokhara during his stay in Nepal. The runway at Tribhuwan
International Airport (TIA) remained closed between 4:35 pm till 5:05 pm this afternoon. The post President Hamid leaves for Bangladesh
