media interview.The President made the above remark in an hour-long extensive interview with Nitin A
Gokhale, Editor-in-Chief of ‘BharatShakti.in& and India highly respected Strategic News International journal, in Colombo.The interview,
which was his first solo media interaction as President, comes a few days ahead of his first overseas visit which is to New Delhi scheduled
for later this week.The President also emphasised that &giving away the Hambantota port to China on a 99-year lease was a mistake by the
previous government& adding the deal has to be renegotiated.
