NC MPs require releasing new map

INSUBCONTINENT EXCLUSIVE:
5 legislators from Nepali Congress today signed up a motion of public importance at the Parliament Secretariat requiring that the government
release a brand-new map illustrating Limpiyadhura, Lipulekh and Kalapani as Nepal & s area and look for nullification of a treaty signed in
between India and China in 2015 to utilize Lipu Bhanjyang as a trade route between them. The five lawmakers who signed up the movement are
Dilendra Prasad Badu, Min Bahadur Bishwakarma, Ram Bahadur Bista and Prakash Rasaili. They also demanded that the government make public the
Eminent Persons Group report. They said that the Kalapani concern became more serious and delicate after India inaugurated a link road from
Pithoragarh to Lipulekh recently. NC lawmakers added that Deputy Prime Minister and Defence Minister Ishwar Pokhrel recently made an aerial
examination of Kalapani area, however he did not notify the federal government or the Parliament about the construction of link road by
India
They said parliamentary panels had actually advised the government to right away hold settlements with India to resolve the border dispute
when the latter publishes a brand-new map portraying Kalapani area as its territory, but the government did not take effort to solve the
issue with India. A version of this short article appears in e-paper on May 12, 2020, of The Himalayan Times. The post NC MPs require
