According to the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP), Nepals COVID-19 caseload has reached 48,138 with 902 new cases in the last 24
hours.
Speaking at the regular press briefing, MoHP Spokesperson Dr
Jageshwor Gautam said that 788,174 samples were tested through the PCR method in the country so far
Among this, 10,611 tests were conducted on Tuesday.
Though the number of coronavirus cases in the country is about to cross the 50,000 mark,
the recovery rate turns out to be positive.
In the last 24 hours, as many as 2,287 patients were discharged from various hospitals after a
successful recovery, taking the total recoveries to 32,964.
In a turn of happy events, this is the fourth day in a row that more than 1,500
COVID-19 were discharged in a day
Currently, the nations recovery rate stands at 68%.
Meanwhile, six patients have lost their lives while undergoing treatment, taking the
death toll to 306.
According to the MoHP, eight districts have more than 500 active cases, while six districts have zero active
cases.
