INSUBCONTINENT EXCLUSIVE:
NEW DELHI: Over 30 stocks, including Byke Hospitality, Harita Seating Systems and JK Cement defied positive market sentiment to hit 52-week
lows on NSE during Thursday's trade.
Ess Dee Aluminium, JBF Industries, Modi Rubber, Rajesh Exports, Solara Active Pharma Sciences, Tata
Power Company, UPL and Vedanta also featured among stocks that hit 52-week lows on NSE.
Equity markets were up amid positive Asian cues,
while a fresh fall in global crude oil prices and an improvement in Indian rupee against the US dollar also influenced the
sentiment.
Investors were on a buying spree ahead of the release of industrial growth (IIP) data for May and retail inflation (CPI) data for
June.
Barring Nifty IT and media, all sectoral indices were trading with gains.
Heavyweights Reliance Industries, HDFC Bank, HDFC, Larsen
Toubro, YES Bank, State Bank of India and ICICI Bank were trading with gains.
The NSE Nifty index was trading 107 points up at 11,055, while
the BSE Sensex was up 345 points at 36,610 around 11:35 am.
In the Nifty index, 39 stocks were advancing, while 11 were declining.
Bharti
Infratel, Infosys and UPL were among the top losers in the Nifty index.
