Two arrested in Budhanilkantha homicide case

KATHMANDU, MARCH 5Police have arrested two persons for their involvement in the murder of Maan Bahadur Rawat, 32, who
was found dead in Thak-Thok area of Dulal Gaun in Budhanilkantha Municipality, Kathmandu, on March 1.

Two arrested for murder in Tanahun
Rawat, who hailed from Tatopani Rural Municipality of Jumla district, was an
alleged drug supplier
His body was found in a pool of blood in an isolated area under mysterious circumstances. Initially, police had struggled
to identify the deceased.However, as soon as the identity of the deceased was revealed, police succeeded in arresting the accused
murderers.According to police, they have confessed to the crime.Among the arrested are Yakuv Chaudhary, 23, of Budhanilkantha Municipality
and Karan Paswan, 16, of Barhathwa Municipality, Sarlahi.Both of them were residing in Srinagar tole in Budhanilkantha Municipality.Police
said the arrested duo was also addicted to drugs and they had charged at Rawat out of rage for failing to provide them with drugs.Issuing a
press release, police said both the murder accused had provided Rs 35,000 to Rawat after the latter promised to provide the drugs they were
seeking.However, even days after taking the money, Rawat had neither returned their money nor provided the drugs they were seeking.On the
night of February 28, the young lads had gone to meet Rawat
The infuriated youths who did not get drugs that day thrashed Rawat with bamboo stick and killed him.Police have also apprehended the weapon
used to kill the man.Meanwhile, Kathmandu District Court has remanded them to judicial custody for five days for further investigation.A
