UML leader Pokhrel accuses govt of pushing country into grave crisis

government of pushing the country into serious crisis.

Speaking at a programme organised by Press Chautari in Dhankuta, Pokhrel said
that shrinking foreign currency reserve and high inflation had plunged the country into financial crisis. He added that
political influence in the judiciary was about to put democracy in peril.Pokhrel slammed Speaker Agni Prasad Sapkota for halting the passage
of the Millennium Challenge Corporation compact, while his party was leading the federal government.He flayed Prime Minister Sher Bahadur
Deuba and CPN-Maoist Centre Chair Pushpa Kamal Dahal for their immaturity in the ratification of the MCC compact in the Parliament.Pokhrel
stressed the need to use America's development grant in the interest and welfare of the people and country.In another context, Pokhrel
accused the government of trying to escape from local polls slated for May 13
He commented that contesting the local polls was like a child's play for the UML."We are ready for the dissolution of the House of
Representatives.But, we shall not allow the Parliament to proceed as long as the 14 lawmakers expelled by the UML stay as parliamentarians,"
