India-aided school building inaugurated

INSUBCONTINENT EXCLUSIVE:
KATHMANDU, MARCH 21A new school building of Shree Sinam Higher Secondary School at
Sinam of Taplejung district, was jointly-inaugurated by representatives from the Nepal government and the Indian Embassy.

building was inaugurated by Yogesh Bhattarai, lawmaker from the area and Rohit Mishra, first secretary, Embassy of India, Kathmandu.
The school is one of the 75 projects being inaugurated this year in Nepal as part of the Government of India's national celebration
'Azadi Ka Amrit Mahaotsav' on the occasion of 75 years of India's independence.Two new buildings for the school have been constructed at a
cost of Rs 31 million under India-Nepal Development Cooperation with the Government of India's financial assistance
The school, established in 1950, currently has 1,600 students.Since 2003, India has taken up over 523 HICDPs in Nepal and has completed 467
projects.Amongst these, 78 projects are in Province 1, including two in Taplejung district.In addition to these, the Government of India has
gifted seven ambulances to various health posts in the district.A press release by the embassy stated that, India and Nepal share
wide-ranging -multi-sectoral cooperation.The implementation of this project reflects the continued support of the Government of India in
bolstering the efforts of the Government of Nepal in uplifting the lifestyle of its people.A version of this article appears in the print on
