Active COVID cases in Nepal drop below 900

With this, Nepal's COVID caseload has reached 978,475, including 965,625 recoveries, 899 active cases, and
11,951 deaths. Of those testing positive for the contagion today, seven are from Kathmandu, three from Kaski, two each from
Siraha and Morang, and one each from Jhapa, Dhanusha, Parsa, Saptari, Kavrepalanchowk, Dhading, Lalitpur, Banke, and Dadeldhura.The number
of active COVID cases in Kathmandu valley is 248 - 135 in Kathmandu and 113 in Lalitpur.According to the Ministry of Health and Population,
66 people were discharged from health centres across the country in the past 24 hours after recovering from COVID
So far, 98.7 per cent of COVID patients have recovered in Nepal.The ministry said 15 COV- ID patients were in intensive care - 14 in Bagmati
and one in Gandaki
Two of them are on ventilator support in Bagmati.No death from coronavirus was reported in the last 24 hours.The number of people who have
succumbed to the infection remains 11,951 at a case fatality rate of 1.2 per cent
As many as 108 of the deceased were children or teenagers, 380 were people in the age group 20-29, 965 in the age group 30-39, 1,663 in the
age group 40-49, 2,296 in the age group 50-59, 2,504 in the age group 60-69, 2,384 in the age group 70-79, and 1,638 were aged 80 or
