The Himalayan Times national daily, the 22-year-old girl is undergoing treatment in Kathmandu for her heart condition. Mina
was rescued from Bajura and taken to Kathmandu by Medical Rehabilitation Organization, Kathmandu / Roads to Rehab Nepal, Australia, who
coordinated her treatment in the capital city.She is being treated at Kathmandu's Manmohan Cardiothoracic Vascular and Transplant Centre in
Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital
The first surgery was performed on her on Sunday.Mina, who was fighting for her life after being unable to finance surgery for the disease,
received assistance for the same, according to Samrat Singh Basnet, the organization's Chair.Similarly, Amar Chhetri, who is now residing in
the United States, has donated Rs 10,000 to Mina's treatment, while Bajura Hospital staff members have collected Rs 13,410.Two years ago,
she was diagnosed with a heart condition at Kathmandu's Sahid Gangalal National Centre
She had even ceased taking medications prescribed by the hospital, owing to her financial situation, to be taken until her operation.Mina
was married to a man from Bajura's Swamikartik Khapar Rural Municipality four years back
Her husband and other family members treated her well until she got sick.After the husband's family started ignoring her, Mina, along with
her daughter, has been living with her mother Tara at Martadi headquarters.
