India to provide fund for school, health post buildings

KATHMANDU, APRIL 7The Embassy of India and the Ministry of Federal Affairs and
General Administration, Government of Nepal, signed three memorandums of understanding today.

supply by mid-April' The first memorandum of
understanding was with Duhun Rural Municipality, Darchula, for the construction of Janabikash Secondary School, the second MoU was signed
with Naugad Rural Municipality, Darchula, for construction of Earcoat Health Post building, and the third MoU was signed with Galchhi Rural
Municipality, Dhading, for Maheshfaat Irrigation Project, respectively. According to the embassy, the above community
development projects will be built under the India-Nepal Development Cooperation with financial assistance of the Government of India at a
total estimated cost of Rs 70.87 million - NRs 33.74 million for construction of Janabikash Secondary School building, Rs 25.36 million for
construction of Earcoat Health Post building, and Rs11.77 million for construction of Maheshfaat Irrigation Project in Darchula and Dhading
districts.The construction of these projects will provide better education facilities and better health care facilities for locals and will
help local farmers enhance agriculture and crops production, thereby raising their livelihood and improving the economic status of the
