Nepal records nine COVID-19 cases on Saturday

KATHMANDU, APRIL 16The national active Covid-19 caseload of Nepal active caseload has
reached to 400 on Saturday as six people tested positive for the infection in past 24 hours.

nine fatalities on Saturday The latest reported
number of infections carried the nationwide tally to 978,654 while the death toll remains at 11,951 as no fatalities were recorded today.
Meanwhile, the total coronavirus recoveries stand at 966,303 with 44 discharges logged today.As per the latest data provided
by the health ministry, a total of 4,043 tests were conducted in the last 24 hours of which 1,986 were PCR tests while 2,057 were antigen
tests
With this, a total of 5,591,779 PCR tests have been carried out till date.Similarly, antigen tests confirmed three positive cases in the
past 24 hours.Nepal's Covid-19 recovery rate stands at 98.7%, while the fatality rate stands at 1.2%.Currently, there are 106 individuals in
various quarantine facilities across Nepal.
