Making public the recent
achievements of Karnali Province government at a press meet in Surkhet yesterday, Chief Minister Jeevan Bahadur Shahi said 54 per cent of
the total population of the province received the first and second doses of vaccine against coronavirus while booster dose had been
administered to 140,188 people.
Chief Minister Shahi said that preparations were being made to reduce the possible risk of
coronavirus, saying coronavirus infection was on the rise in neighbouring India.He said priority had been given for construction of health
infrastructure and management of human resources."Arrangement of free treatment to the injured of conflict period was made and Rs 150
million was provided to the local levels in a bid to provide special allowance to martyrs' families and persons with disability," said Chief
The chief minister said that the construction of province stadium, international standard volleyball covered hall, 81 playgrounds in all 10
districts of the province and 400 classrooms in all 79 local levels for physical infrastructure development of community schools were under
way.Similarly, 1,239 hectare land had got irrigation facility and production of potato, apple, kiwi and walnut had started on 1,205 hectare
