Nepal records 18 COVID-19 cases on Saturday

KATHMANDU, APRIL 23The national active Covid-19 caseload of Nepal active caseload has
reached to 283 on Saturday as eighteen people tested positive for the infection in past 24 hours.

The latest reported number of infections carried the nationwide tally to 978,732 while the death toll remains at 11,951 as no
fatalities were recorded today. Meanwhile, the total coronavirus recoveries stand at 966,498 with 17 discharges logged
today.As per the latest data provided by the health ministry, a total of 4,947 tests were conducted in the last 24 hours of which 3,691 were
PCR tests while 1,256 were antigen tests
With this, a total of 5,613,608 PCR tests have been carried out till date.Similarly, antigen tests confirmed no positive cases in the past
24 hours.Nepal's Covid-19 recovery rate stands at 98.8%, while the fatality rate stands at 1.2%.Currently, there are 106 individuals in
various quarantine facilities across Nepal.
